Off the Beaten Path in St Lucia

Hi We are a party of 8 cruising first of Feb we each picked a port to plan an adventure...I picked St Lucia...I am not great at doing such things and am reaching out for any suggestions anyone could possibly give me... We like to avoid the usual excursions and get out on our own...See the locals and not so much the $$$Touristy stuff... How about it ...any suggestions?
