On Zaandam, how noisy is deck 7 directly under the Lido Restaurant?

We just did a lateral move to Category AA on Zaandam, which puts us directly under the buffet. We are wondering how noisy it might be.

If you are under the dining area of the Lido it probably will be okay as I think that area is carpeted. If it was under the food prep/serving area it could be noisy I think.

A few years back, we were on the Ryndam in a balcony cabin directly below the Lido. We never heard a sound from above. Turned out to be a great location.

AA -- balcony cabins are under the area that is carpeted where the tables and chairs are.

So no hearing of chairs and tables being moved.

I have not but let me say we were very pleased with the ship. I understand the ship is going into overhaul in April although we found the ship to be in excellent condition and was surprised it was due for a refurbishment. The service throughout the ship was superb and the cabin attendants among the best we experienced in 16 HAL cruises. Food quality was also quite good. 4 of the 22 days we ate in the Pinnacle grill and the Italian specialty restaurants and thought the surcharge was worth it. Captain Norman was very informative and did his best to keep us out of bad weather. If there was a negative, and this should come as no surprise, it was the entertainment which I would rate as mediocre. I think you will be very happy with your cruise.

Quite sure we will be happy with the cruise. We will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary.:) I saw a comment from someone that was on her in January and said the same thing about ho good a shape it is in.

I like to book cabins right under the Lido buffet as it is carpeted and thus quiet, plus one easy flight of stairs to FOOD!
