Nieuw Amsterdam and Zaandam Port Everglade Farewell Sail-Aways Apr 14, 2018

Looks like the Zaandam is finally underway.

I think Zaandam and sister Volendam are two of the best looking ships in the fleet.

Zaandam will not be seen by us in Port Everglades for awhile. Unless the itinerary plans change, she will be positioned on the West Coast for Alaska, South America, and South America/Antarctica cruises as she has been doing for awhile. A unique vessel with her music decor motif and organ, an excellent sea boat, and an excellent cruise staff and crew.

Nice long toots from Zaandam as she says goodbye to Port Everglades for the season. Extra toots since she won't be back for awhile.

Was not able to get on yesterday - no internet on Zaandam . They were updating the system - today I have one price, unlimited internet for 22 days until I reach Seattle [of course only one device at a time.

I tried to get on to tell you how many supplies were on the pier, Captain was not really expecting a 5:30 departure. Then we had an ambulance and fire truck roll up just before that same 5:30. When we left the last stuff on the pier was loaded - the crew steps pulled in and we left.
