Fishing in Kona help

We are coming in to Kona on the POA and we are scheduled to arrive at 7:00 am, but most of the charters start at 6-7, how is one to book a charter, if they begin when we arrive? Any help or suggestions would be great. We would like a 6 hour tour.

Most of the charter boats in Kona are pretty small (less than ten folks or so). If you get together with a few other folks, you'll be able to charter the entire boat and pretty much set your own schedule. Ask a few of the charter boats directly and see if they will adjust their time schedules to suit yours.

I really like Bite Me Sportsfishing charters. They offer 4, 6, and 8 hour charters. The boats and people are really nice. Remember, you don't have to go more than 10-15 minutes out of the small boat harbor to be in 2000' of water so the 4 hour trip from 10:30-2:30 will probably be fine.
