Calling home

We are cruising on the Bliss in August. One of the people in our group would like to call home and check on their child during sea days. What’s the best and inexpensive way to do this? They have an Android phone. Thanks.

get the internet package and use something like google hangout/voice to place calls over the internet. if both people have facebook, you can use facebook messenger to make a video/voice call.

Wait until in port on Monday and call from Alaska. Should fall in their cell phone plan so no additional cost involved.
