OBC-buy camera or Apple products, luggage? List of prices?

I have some OBC that I want to use for purchasing products on Celebrity Summit. Does anyone have any pics, lists or prices of all the cameras, apple products or luggage available on ship to buy? Thanks!

All I can tell you is the Apple products are exactly the same as they are in the US. There is an effective savings, since you pay no sales tax.

GoPro cameras are the same also.

This is great news! I want to buy an Apple Watch, and with a recent room upgrade we now have specialty dining included, so now I know what I can do with my obc! Do they sell apple products on all ships? We’re on Reflection.

No Apple Watches or iPhones sold onboard ... nothing requiring a service provider so no cellular products sold on Celebrity. Yes, they will have Apple products onboard the Reflection ... in stock may vary, though.

They have Mac computers (2 sizes), iPad Pro (2 sizes) and some accessories. They may or may not have everything in stock at the time on your sailing.

Am on board the Equinox now. Very limited on Apple products but do have some 3rd party accessories.

Also disappointed in the photo shop. I have a GoPro that I purchased on board and they are out of the memory cards that are required. You would think that the stores that are paying to be on board would have products to sell.

Was on the Silhouette earlier this month: just two sizes of MacBook Pro and the 9.7" iPad Pro. No MacBook Airs, no standard iPads, no larger iPad Pros. Very disappointing.

The only luggage I’ve seen is a carry-on size folding bag for about $30.

When we were on Summit this past April, we were able to purchase a Garmin Vivosmart HR Activity Tracker watch for $150.00. This product was never on my radar but as it turned out...one of the smartest purchases I have ever made.

We tend to have a flexible approach to spending OBC on board....We will chat and browse pre cruise re camera, binoculars, iPad, watches....If you set your mind on one product you can be disappointed as stocks can be very limited.

On our April Eclipse cruise there was a good range of cameras including one we had considered pre cruise. The price was barely lower than in the U.K. But you have to see the perk as you aren't buying it with 'real' money. We always browse what we are considering buying then check prices on line before going ahead with the purchase.

On our September cruise there seemed less choice for everything, not helped as the duty free area was closed (something to do with Spanish ports), so we could not stock up on usual tipples. It is spend or loose it, however, so it was pearls and some T's!

Just another thought for your OBC you can direct some of it to additional tips for specific staff....just fill in a form before the end of the cruise at guest relations.

A few years ago we were on the Solstice in New Zealand and used our OBC in the photo shop to purchase a Nikon 10 x 50 binoculars for I believe less than $100 and they have been good at spotting things from our balcony.

Have a look at the shops on board as soon as you can. If you decide to buy something specific, don’t wait till the last minute. Stock dwindles quickly once fellow passengers realize they will not spend all of their on board credit and then rush to the stores.

Your logic is totally incorrect. The OBC is free so you are paying with free dollars. If you pay the same as on land or even more, your out-of-pocket cost is zero to the item(s) are free.

The OBC is not totally free, as it is factored into your original cruise price, but at the end of the day, if the prices are similar on board as opposed to back home, you will be better off by buying on board and using your OBC. It is almost free but not totally free.

if you are in the market for a camera, spend some time before your cruise researching what brand, model,features you want and look at your choices online. Better selection and better prices. Why settle for the few models that will be available onboard. spend your obc on excursions you might not have wanted to pay for, or jewelry - maybe a nice watch if you have enough obc. Don't go to the art auction, unless you go online first to look up values of pieces. Enjoy using your obc !!

If the OBC is from your TA and not Celebrity, you don't lose it. It will go onto your credit card as a credit if you have some left. They also use non refundable (that issued by X) first. You can see it designated as refundable, or not, on your account review, onboard. This has always been the case with my account, unlike getting cash from the casino, where the rules often change. So, you can spend the money on shore and get better pricing when you get home.

My obc is nonrefundable. I agree not to count on merchandise. I like the binocular idea! I am in market for camera, I will do some good research prior to sailing. Sometimes later in sailing things go in sale. We are on a back to back, too bad can't add all obc. I can shop cruise one, and purchase cruise 2 after I know what day there may be a sale!
