thanks! Good to know about drink waiters in mdr. Will just have to take an extra drink with us.

that is exactly what i do...i usually get cheers, we stop at one of the bars on the way to the dining room and get a drink to take, sometimes it's soooo slow in the dining room getting a drink!

I like to catch the early flights home so I like the option of being able to carry on my suitcase if I need to. Plus, if you pack right, you can get all you need for 7-8 days in a regulation carry on sized suitcase. And that's with one side filled with shoes !

Can you give us any packing tips? I almost always waaaay overpack and I'm trying to get better. Any tips are very much appreciated!

You don’t need as many clothes as you think. It’s OK to mix tops with a couple pairs of pants especially for the evening. Chances are you are only going to be wearing them for a few hours. During the day I spent most of the time with my bathing suit underneath my maxi dresses that I used as a cover up.

Bring a few pairs of comfortable shoes. You may want one pair of sneakers, flip flops, and I like to have one pair of sandals that secure around my ankle for long distance walking when I don’t want to wear close toes shoes. I actually don’t even bring tennis shoes as it’s too hot anyway and then I don’t need socks. One pair of black flats or small heel for dinner/elegant evening.

I’ve got it down to a science so that it all fits in a carry on and under seat tote. As a last resort you can do laundry but I haven’t had to go that route since the boys were little. The self service laundry rooms were a life saver!

Pictures from someone else on our cruise who just so happened to be in the casino when the sprinklers went off. She gave me permission to repost. A big thanks to her! They also said they saw the Cloud Chaser in the casino at the time it happened. Again, I can't say that's actually what caused it, but now it has been corroborated by multiple people so it may be true, or it may be coincidence. Maybe chengkp75 can chime in and see if this is even possible.

In case you didn't see when I mentioned this episode, it was in post number 75.

WOWZERS!! 😳 Whatta MESS! Though it's comforting to know they could keep a fire from becoming a catastrophe.

Thanks for the tips. I bought cubes too so hopefully I'll do better next time.

I used those once with my bigger suitcase, but they don't fit so well with my carry on. Being there's less room, I found they made it too thick because I had to put one on top of the other due to the limited configurations. I had to use the expander which didn't make it carry on compliant. So I either roll my clothes, or pack them flat alternating pants, tops, put bathing suits and things that can get a little wrinkled in between my cloth bags that hold my shoes on the one side of my suitcase.
