Help Hobart on a Saturday??

 Share

Recommended Posts

All i want is a cruise that is actually in Port at Hobart on Saturday.

I want to go to the Salamanca Markets. Have trawled through ship itinerary’s and cant find one, which seems very weird.

At this rate may end up having to fly there.

Anyone know if such a cruise exists?

We’ve had a few, Mrs Gut is a bit of a market freak, always gets disappointed when we miss them, worst cruise ever (spending wise) Rocks Markets the day we left, markets in Melbourne then Hobart n the Saturday, I think the market spending cost more than the cruise.

Thanks for all the input. Especially the list McCanberra.

I think couple of the cruises are part of a big cruise and out of my price bracket and a couple that dont dock till probably too late but still sorting through them thanks

We were lucky to be in Hobart, early 2017, on Ovation.

It was Salamanca Market day (Saturday) as well as the Australian Wooden Boat Festival. We overnighted as well and it was a magnificent time in Hobart.

I would fly there again for the festival weekend, next in Feb 2019.

No worries, the Dark MOFO cruise looks good, there for 3 days.

We have flown down several times to spend time exploring the Huon valley area, Bruny Island, etc.

Or drive down and spend a few weeks touring. First holiday we had after 18 years marriage was a drinking tour of Tasmania.

I am sure K would find a way to spend.

She sure would, I laugh whenever people ask what to do with excess OBC, though last year she did leave a dollar something OBC hind, still brings it up from time to time that she should have found a way to use it

  • 3 weeks later...

Ended up dropping my Celebrity Solstice cruise ro New Zealand in December and booking the Majestic Princess December cruise to New Zealand which stops at Melbourne and the clincher..Saturday In Hobart,

Pretty much same price, I gain two extra nights on The Majestic and mini suite over a Balcony...but i do lose our alcohol package.. I guess my liver may thank me

The stops in Hobart and Melbourne made it more appealing and always interesting trying a new ship, I hope The Majestic doesn’t disappoint
