I am cruising the Paradise after refirb on 23rd of April (first time cruising) is this time of year less children onboard ?:p Not saying I don't like children, just wondering if there are more adults at this time when most kids are in school still.

AFTER the Easter cruise starting March 31st and ending the 7th of April , you'll see a significant drop in kids aboard. Spring break is pretty much over for all kids elementary thru college at that point.

Most of northern New England (NH, VT, and ME) schools have vacation the last week of April.

True...but if families are antying up airfare to FL...They are going to take the 7 day cruises....so I think Paradise will be fine

Yes, RI and CT as well. Big cruise/vacation week since many school districts no longer take a winter break in Feb so they take a week off the end of April.

Less kids then the previous couple of weeks.

I will be sailing on the Vista (4/21/18) which is an eight day cruise so I expect the number of children will be

significantly lower than the previous weeks. I think to end of April is a safe time to cruise if you do not

to be over run with kids.

I don't mind kids normally, I have a 4 yr old in my house daily and love to hear her play and have fun!!! Just want a little down time and lay in the sun and chill !! Haven't been on a vacation in 2 years so I am totally ready for the relaxation !! Never cruised before so will be a great escape ! I chose this date hoping it would be a little more quiet, we'll see ! :-)

We try to cruise when schools are in session and sailed on the Paradise recently in early Nov., late Jan., and early Feb. and not many kids at all. Those aboard were probably homeschoolers or too young to be in school. Unfortunately, we got a great bounce back offer from the casino for the March 24th Miracle sailing out of Tampa and suspect there will be a lot of kids on spring break. I would think the OP should be okay later in April.

Spring break where I live is the week of April 8th. But after month I would think most schools would be done with breaks.

Mid-to-late April is my absolute favorite time to cruise. I’ve found that time to have the best weather (not really rainy yet not blazing hot yet), better pricing (post Spring Break-pre Summer) and less crowds in general. We’re doing the Paradise to Cuba next April and I cannot wait!

That is sorta what I was thinking when I chose that date for a cruise ;p I was hoping that date would be in between vacation times for many families and more of an adult time for cruising. We'll see ! lol :p Either way I will enjoy a week away to rest up and de-stress from life ! :DBeing my first cruise I will totally enjoy everything !!

I second all of this. Last year was the first time I went at this time, and I can't recommend it enough. Booked another for this year. All things considered, you simply cannot beat that time of year for travel.

There is always kids. Off peak times like this, there is far less. I think I only saw around 10 on mine last year. Definitely nothing that was overwhelming.

I have two more years until my little one is in school full-time. Then we will be forced to do most of our vacationing during peak travel times (summer, Spring Break, Christmas break). I am NOT looking forward to that! LOL

We have cruised 2 times in late April and 2 times in mid May, with our child and there were children every time. The late April cruises had kids but definitely not overrun. May cruises had a lot more kids, as some of them were out of school by then- mine included.

There always seem to be lots of children on Carnival ships ... no matter the time of the year.

Our Feb 25th cruise didn't have a lot of kids. Like a previous poster, I think mostly too young for school or homeschooled. Those we did see were well behaved. This was a 7 day Pride from Baltimore.

Enjoy your first cruise! Most children will be in the camps or at the pool. If you have a lot of kids on board, the Serenity area should provide a quiet respite. It's an adult only area with loungers and clam shells.
