Hi, I am sure my answer is somewhere. I’m traveling to Bermuda from NY on the Horizon, but just want to hang out on the beach in Bermuda. How do I take public transportation? How much wait time/transit time is realistic? Traveling In August and waited too long to book transportation.

If you are just interested in going to the beach, no problem. You'll want to go to the beautiful and popular Horseshoe Bay Beach. Transportation is easy both to and from HSB. There are mini-buses that operate all day. The fare is $7 p/p paid to the driver when boarding. The mini-buses can be found in Zone 5 of the Transportation Zone. As you leave your cruise ship, you should see the mini-buses backed against the center island on that part of the wharf that connects to land or a Zone 5 sign. If not, ask a guide that are there to answer questions. Get on a bus that is filling; it departs when filled. When leaving HSB, look for a mini-bus in the parking area that is filling, and board.
