Drink taxes on Pride

Does Carnival charge sales tax on drinks in Baltimore? If so, how long after they sail does the tax stop?

If Baltimore has a sales tax ( I am sure it does ) they will charge it until the ship hits international waters. How long that is I don't know, but someone out here surely will.

N0 it is not just an hour from Baltimore... It takes 7 hours or so to reach international waters out of Baltimore, so you will pay tax on any drinks you order until approx. 11pm on the first night. This applies to everyone whether you have cheers or not.

Ships leaving ports like Baltimore, NOLA and Tampa have a long way to go before they leave their state borders, 6 - 8 hours is a good estimate for these ports.

Hopefully, the state tax on purchases while still in state waters won't break anyone's cruise budget.
