A few Premier questions

We have never been on a premier cruise and have offers that would have to be booked by Dec 20 so trying to decide what to do. Is there any chance if we change our mind and decide to book after the 20th that we still could? Does anyone have an idea when the next premier cruises out of Galveston might be? I don't know if they only offer these once or twice or more a year. Any other thoughts or input welcome and thanks for any help!

You will usually see an offer every 6 to 10 weeks. No one knows which sailing will be offered because they make that decision at the last minute depending on unsold inventory. There may only be interiors available on a certain ship, or very few or none of other categories. Keeping watching the offers page, and if you see something you like jump on it because anything desirable goes first and fast.

If something on offer is sold out, or you miss the deadline, you are out of luck for that offer. Keep in mind if you do a Premier cruise before the end of April, you will be first in line for Ultra Premier cruises next fall.

Thanks for the information! We leave on the Breeze on Dec 31st so were hoping for an even cheaper Premier offer before booking but maybe we should take what we have.

You need to earn 7500 points on a Premier to get an Ultra invite,

I get premier invites about every 3 months that cover sailings in the next 3 months or so. I'm afraid if I pass up too many premier offers, I could fall off the eligible list of invitees.

Every once in a while, a cruise I had already booked gets designated as a premier - sometimes I can get switched to that fare but I may also have to change cabins. In the case of an upcoming Horizon cruise, I had a spa balcony booked and then it became a premier cruise. I inquired about changing rates, but I would have had to take a regular balcony and I didn't want to lose my 1st spa balcony.

I asked why since spa balconies on other ships can be eligible for casino fares, and I was told it is a ship by ship determination. Oh well.

Neither of these are correct. If you get 7500 points on a Premier you get the first invites to an Ultra. If you get less than 7500 you can still receive and Ultra offer.

We have taken many Premier casino cruises on both Carnival and Holland America. They are lots of fun and the free drinks in the casino all week include my DH, too. There is a nice welcome party the first day and you get your cash at the casino that night. I don't think I've earned more than 6000 points on a premier cruise and have received Ultra invitations, so the 7500 is incorrect.
