Manzanillo or Mazatlan? What do you recommend?

Our Cruise has a "Beach Resort Getaway" in Manzanillo....says.. Tucked away on the tranquil cove the Resort will be your idyllic tropical getaway.

I am just wondering if we should book that or go with a hotel day pass?!?! We do want some beach time too and I have a 5 YO.

THANKS!:D

Mazatlan - El Cid, pay as you go, don't bother contacting, just show up ($10 taxi each way)

here=> https://www.google.com/maps/place/El+Cid+El+Moro+Beach/@23.2537249,-106.4797979,9364m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!1m2!2m1!1sManzanillo+sailfish+statue!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0xee1e03e8151cb36f!6m1!1e1?hl=en

Sounds like your "Beach Resort Getaway" is at Tesoro = tranquil cove

Tesoro is best choice for less $, or just go to the beach there for FREE (rent a chair and umbrella, lots of food, drink, things to see and do)

Mazanillo - Tesoro - ($10 taxi each way) - best beach, lots to see and do

Mazanillo - Las Hadas - less to see and do ($10 taxi each way)

Mazanillo - Karima Palace - $$$$$$$$ - ($10 taxi each way)

here => https://www.google.com/maps/place/Barcel%C3%B3+Karmina+Palace+Deluxe/@19.1037574,-104.346802,1106m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!1m3!3m2!1s0x0000000000000000:0xbcdde2f2d2a2a6ce!2sTesoro+Manzanillo!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x20bfa18f3d15490c!6m1!1e1?hl=en

Hi, I see Tesoro offers a day pass , but they did not say how much. Do you know? And is the taxi $10.00 each way per person? About how long to get there?

It does look like a nice property. Barceló Karmina is beautiful but the day pass is over 50.00. Which still is not bad at all.

Thanks

Actually I just got off the phone with them today. I was told $25 per person for day use.

That is just for use of the facilities, isn't it? Did she suggest reservations?

Watch the movie 10...Take a cab to Las Hadas...have lunch at Palma's restaurant...walk to defines bar which is in the movie...hang by the beach or walk next door to Karmina palace and get a massage...then cab back to ship...you can also first take cab to Karmina eat there and then walk over to Las Hadas...give gate guard a couple of bucks and tell them you are going to eat at palmas restaurant...

Okay this might be a silly question but is Matzalan and Manzanillo the same? Thanks

Nope, Manzanillo is south of Puerto Valllarta and about a 10 hour drive south of Mazatlan. Also quite different types of cities; Mazatlan is a large commercial centre.
