On Carnival you are allowed to bring one bottle wine on board P/Person for special occasion. Are you allowed this also on Royal?

Yes. Policy is 2 bottles allowed per cabin. There is a $15 corkage fee for any bottle opened in a dining room or bar. No fee for opening in your own cabin.

Royal allows two bottles of wine per stateroom, regardless of the number of guests in the stateroom.

If you bring the wine to a public venue, you may be charged $25 corkage fee per bottle.

Are we allowed to carry those in our carry ons into our room when we first get there or do we need to put them in the checked luggage? Glad I read this....did not know this was allowed!!! My husband will be happy!!

You can carry on the wine, or leave it in checked bags, your choice. However, if you leave it in checked bags, your bag delivery might be delayed at security so they can confirm the contents are allowed.
