Hiking in Corfu?

Has anyone done hiking on their own in Corfu? I see that the official "Corfu Trail" is nowhere near the port. I also see there are some SB excursions, but I am looking to just do a 3-4 hour day hike on my own in a nice quiet region, either mountainous or seaside.

 

(Mea culpa if this is misplaced on these boards. The destination boards looked rather dated!)
