Iona balcony cabin on promenade deck ...

It is difficult to predict how the demarcation situation on Iona will be.

Princess' early Grand Class; Grand, Golden and Star have forward balconies on Emerald Deck inset overlooking the Promenade Deck. They have a height separation of about one deck. This seems a reasonable idea for a economy balcony.

Fred Olsen have Promenade Deck balconies which are a bit like sitting behind a low screen in a Costa Coffee outlet in a shopping mall. People can walk past on the Promenade Deck and talk to you at the same level.

Star Clippers have "Verandah" cabins on Star Clipper and Star Flyer where you have a door onto the Promenade deck, no screen or specifically marked out space.

I was looking at these Iona cabins and noticed some were right next to the Infinity Spa things which would be handy. I think there will likely be a degree of vertical separation.

Regards John
