Will Oceana ever come back to Southampton?

Hello all, what do people think? We went on Oceana for 4 nights in February and really enjoyed her. Would love to do a longer cruise on her but it seems from next year she's only doing fly cruises even in the winter.

We don't like flying and a big plus about cruising for us is the convenience of going from Southampton.

Any thoughts on if she'll come back or will they vary the ships doing the fly cruises?

I guess it depends what happens to her once P&O feel they have done "the Arabian Gulf" to death. Personally, I think that she is a better warm-weather ship than cold. She has great outside space but the inside is a bit limited imho. Also, I have no inside info but I wouldn't be surprised if she goes when Iona's sister ship arrives in 2022. She is the same age as Aurora but Aurora is more flexible with her better sea-keeping properties and pool with a roof.

That is because she was designed for the American market as a 7day cruise to Caribbean/Alaska for Princess Cruises.

Well we went on her to Bruges and Amsterdam in February and really enjoyed her. Loved the Cafe Jardin and the fact you could have a (free) breakfast or lunch there.

I hope she doesn't leave the fleet once Iona ia here but I guess it is a real possibility. I have had good cruises on the 3 big ships but I would still happily go on Oceana again IF I ever get the chance!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Don't say that, we love Oceana - a lovely, friendly ship with what we think is the best atrium we have ever seen. Just stunning. I know that they are selling cruises on her in 2020 from Malta again, so hopefully they will keep her a while yet. If we thought they were going to sell her on we would definitely book a cruise on her in August 2020.

Good points, plus Aurora is having a refurb soon, so doubt she will be leaving the fleet for a while...
