Questions about Carnival's Crystal Cave / beach excursion

My group wants to do the cave excursion but it seems much more expensive than going on our own so I have a few questions.

Is the "sightseeing" mentioned a tour of the island or is it just the bus rid to the caves?

What beach do you visit?

Would you say this is worth the price or better to do independently?

Thanks!

General rule of thumb, anything you want to do, can be done DIY cheaper than an excursion by the cruise line.

I have read the excursion description, and any sightseeing will be on the trip from the pier to the caves. You are not taking a tour of the island.

As for a "secluded beach" along the South Shore, the options are limited. It would be a public beach. It would not be Horseshoe Bay Beach or Elbow Bay Beach as they are not secluded. It could be Warwick Long Bay Beach which is less popular than the other beaches mentioned but not secluded, I would say it could be Stonehold Bay or Chaplin Bay. Both are located between HSB and WLBB. Both beaches have no amenities except for maybe a porta-potty nearby..

Do your plans include visiting any nearby beach?

The cost for visiting the caves DIY would be ferry fare $4.50 (token) each way p/p, bus fare $4.50 (token) each way p/p plus cave entry fee.
