Oh My -- I think a couple of people got confused and posted their pictures on the week's before dates.

A couple of weeks ago the story was about an old favorite. This week is about a new one. While visiting our friends Lynne and Frank in Oregon City, we were treated to breakfast at a local legend. Pappy's Greasy Spoon in Canby, Oregon is rough on the outside but inside it is a genuine American diner complete with vintage posters, Coca Cola memorabilia and a menu full of made-from-scratch food. Pappy himself greeted us as we arrived and since it was early and slow, he pulled up a chair, took our order and traded stories until our food arrived. The food was good and the atmosphere was better. A great meal with a reminder of kinder, gentler times.

Those kind of places make travel fun!

We used to enjoy going to those kind of places.

But sadly they are all gone now around here -- too many fast food places and we don't eat at them.
