Da Nang (Vietnam): where will MS Westerdam dock?

In december we'll be doing a cruise in Asia. I am trying to figure out where the MS Westerdam will dock in Da Nang.

I contacted HAL but they where pretty vague.

With the Volendam we docked at chan may, since Da Nang hasn't much to offer, I would take a tour to Hoi An, it's great.

Absolutely do Hoi An. We were in the area for several days. You can skip Da Nang.

Another vote for Hoi An.

We were there on a land tour and, while walking the riverfront, a man on a bike tried to sell us some newspapers. Lying, I said that we had already read that paper. he said "I don't believe you" and rode off. A few minutes later, he cycled past us and again muttered "I don't believe you." A third time, he approached from the opposite direction and, admiring the man's pluck, I stopped him and said that I had lied and that I wanted a paper.

I hope to go there again and find this guy and go through the same ritual. ;-)

After using Google and a very deep dig on Chan May website I’ve found a schedule until years end and Westerdam isn’t on the list. So that makes me wonder.

These asian ports are horrible to research

We were not docked for the Hoi An visit. We were on a 14-day land tour of Cambodia & Vietnam with Gate 1 Travel.

We flew into Da Nang and took a motorcoach to Hoi An.

We did not dock. We were on an independent land trip. Stayed in Hoi An for a few hours. It is very different at night, lots of lanterns lit up.

I f you go to Cruise TT, and look under ports there is nothing under Chan Mai, but under Da Nang you'll see the Westerdam. Still no mention of the exact port..

,..sorry, I meant to say that we stayed in Hoi An for several days, not several hours. Land trip, so we did not dock.
