Oasis of the seas - sea pass card hole punching

we are travelling on oasis on Sept 2nd. this is our first RCCL cruise. can they hole punch your sea pass card? we have the lanyards but would like the card punched instead of the plastic sleeve. RCCL on twitter said they won't punch it. is this true or is to only because that person has no clue of what actually can be done at the port of guest services onboard.

On Oasis they will punch a hole in your seapass card.

It is the new ships that have the RFID chip embedded in it that they won’t punch a hole.

The new ships that will not punch holes in the seapass cards are Quantum, Anthem, Ovation, Harmony and Symphony.

All the rest of the ships will punch holes in the seapass cards.

I wish they would just go to the wrist bands/bracelets with RFID, like Disney does. So much easier.

They have on the new ships. Everything built from Quantum onwards has the wristbands available.

Do you have to buy the wristbands?
