Uber at New Orleans port(Carnival)

I know Uber can pick up at the airport but wondering how it would work at the port? Can they get into the port area or do we have to walk outside the port to meet the car??

Any info/experiences would be great.

I took uber on dec 26 from holiday inn express near the airport to port of New Orleans and it dropped us off right at check in.

I have the same question and I see your question wasn't really answered. Were you able to get Uber from the terminal?

I've had an uber driver pick me up in the terminal. Well technically he didn't see us and we met on the street outside. They look like any other car so they can drive right up to the pickup area.
