Just wondering if anyone knows details about getting to the Reversing falls or sea caves in Saint John's. Will be in on Carnival Triumph on a Tuesday. (ships time 8a-6p) Really wanted to avoid ships tours. Any advice?

Thanks for the help.

Reversing Falls is close to the port, but no big deal as when they reverse is when you leave the port. On the ride, you do get wet.

The Sea Caves are in St. Martin (from St. John) -- one hour away and depending upon timing is whether or not you can go out to them. Ship's tour is wonderful - done by historic people trained who live in St. Martin - highly recommend.

Peggy's Cove in Halifax is also a good 45 minute ride - taxis can take you there -- be aware of weather -- fog, wind.

In Halifax the "Harbor Walk" is free and a lovely boardwalk type walk, with some shopping, big ships, the Maritime Museum (Titanic Museum) - under $10 charge and Murphy's on the Water for lobster (about a mile) and Casino at the hotel at the end of the Harbor Walk. It's to the right of your ship's dock. The Immigration Museum (small charge) is good if the weather is bad, along with an indoor type shopping mall (to the left of the ship) - think it's Pier 21. There are loads of taxis in port for tours, but my favorite is just the Harbor Walk. Enjoy. Vicki
