Alaska Verandah Room: Far forward or next to a bumped out room?

We have two choices right now for an Alaska Cruise, based on our sleeping arrangement needs. I may decide that isn't important, but for now... it is.

Would you recommend the 2nd room from the front or a midship room that is "behind" a room that is bumped out? I feel like we like the midship location better, but I feel like we will just be looking at the neighbors' room.

What location is better?

You really won't be looking at your neighbor's cabin or balcony. The "curve" of the hump is gradual...it's not like a wall!....no worries! Midship is very convenient!

I am somewhat reassured, but the photo I have seen of the ship makes it look very much like a sharp bump out. We would be in the corner right before the bumped out rooms. I feel like our view would be really limited, no?
