EWR to Manhattan Cruise terminal

Can someone please share some advice on travelling from EWR on Sunday March 11 to the Breakaway sailing out of the Manhattan Cruise terminal? I know we should be coming day before but not an option at this point. We land at 1130am which is also tight from what I am reading....how long will a private car take to get us there?

Also for disembarkation on Sunday March 18 - will a pre-booked private car pick us up at the cruise terminal as my mother doesn't walk far distances well....

Using car service it should take about 40 minutes on a Sunday.
