Can onboard credit still be used on slot machines on Holland America

One poster on the Holland board said he was billed at the end of the cruise for his onboard credit withdrawals. I don't know if this is an isolated case or a new HA policy. Any recent cruise experience?

Our last Holland cruise was in Nov. 2016 and I used OBC at the slot machines - just charged the amount to my sail and sign card when playing a slot. Never received any billing later for this. I think if you use your sail and sign card at the tables to get money from your onboard account you are charged 3% or something similar. Take the money out at a slot machine and you aren't charged anything.

Thank you for responding. I have done this in the past. Someone recently posted that it no longer works. I am hoping to hear from someone who has successfully done this within the past 3 months or so.
