Irish Eyes Are Sailing Posted October 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Hi, it's been a few years since we cruised and on this next cruise to Bermuda we have $125 each OBC that they gave us with the Explore 4 package. What can you use the OBC for besides purchases in the shops? Excursions? Towards the daily Hotel Service Charge? Just curious. The beverage package is included with the deal, so won't be spending it on drinks.....I doubt we could drink 15 liquor/wine/beer drinks per day! Will use some of that allowance for coffees, sodas, water, etc. So we were wondering what else they allow you to spend the OBC on. Can anyone enlighten us? Thank you very much. Krazy Kruizers Posted October 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2017 Right -- you will be surprised how the Hotel Service Charge will eat up that shipboard credit. Use to buy excursions once on the ship. Make reservations for the Pinnacle once on the ship.
MisterBill99 Posted October 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2017 If the $250 ($125pp) is from your travel agent, it should be refundable at the end of the cruise if you don't spend it. So unless you really want to buy excursions or eat at the specialty restaurants, just let the gratuities use up most of it and then get a few dollars back at the end of the cruise. Of course, you can also buy pictures, stuff at the shops, etc.
RMLincoln Posted October 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Photos. Spa. Bingo. Casino. Luggage Express. Extra gratuity for the crew. Yoga class. Musicians CDs in the shops. DVDs of the cruise sold by the Shore Excursions desk. Cooking classes. Drinks not on the Explore4 package such as the better champagne by the glass. In-room mini-bar. MisterBill99 Posted October 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 3, 2017 Extra gratuity for the crew. How do you charge that to your onboard account?
RuthC Posted October 3, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2017 How do you charge that to your onboard account? You to the Front Desk (concierge, if you are in the high rent district), and ask that a specific additional amount be added to your Hotel Service Charges. It's very easy. It's very easy. Thank you Ruth, had to be gone for a while today! As Ruth said, adding additional funds to the HSC is very easy, and it's very much appreciated! m--
akenned Posted October 4, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Can you use the OBC to order a bottle of liquor or wine for your cabin?
Rare kazu Posted October 4, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Can you use the OBC to order a bottle of liquor or wine for your cabin? ordering on board...Sure :D the bottle of liquor or wine is applied to your on board account. So it will be deducted from any OBC credit that you have.
