having always booked our excursions prior to sailing, I am thinking about leaving it till we are onboard as we have a lot of obc. So with that in mind have most people found that they are able to go on the outings that they want, and are they much more expensive then pre cruise?? Only looking at booking excersions for Tenerife and Lanzarote on the Christmas cruise on Q.V.

In my experience they might be about 10% more expensive to book after boarding.

I suppose you could game the system somewhat, by booking any that you don't want to miss now, and then about a week before embarkation cancel the ones that don't show "limited availability" and rebook after boarding to burn up some OBC. Or like me you may think that's a little too much work...

I just came back from a Canaries cruise on the QE last week. We booked two excursions beforehand and one excursion onboard to use up OBC. The price increases were generally $3 to $5.

e.g. Heart of La Palma from $59 to $62 and Leisurely La Palma from $58 to $63.
