Between decks 6,7,8 what are there any cons of getting deck 6 vs 8 except the floors needed to go up to get to the amenities.

Deck 7 anywhere will be your best bet. Otherwise, Deck 8 FWD. This is all just noise factors. Nothing special really about the decks except Deck 7 has suites.

Deck 6 - Cabin can be over one of the public venues on deck 5 that can create noise.

Deck 7 - No noise from public venues.

Deck 8 mid and aft - On most ships, this is directly under one of the pool decks or buffets. Noise due to deck chairs being moved around or the buffet in operation.

Deck 8 fwd - as long as you are far enough forward that there are lido deck cabins above you, these cabins are quiet.

Honeymoon cruise on Victory was in 8391, which appears to have been just below the aft Lido buffet, and we enjoyed it. There was no major noise or anything. On another ship at a later time, we were beneath the main Lido pool deck and it was very noisy. From there. we have always tried to book our decks strategically.
