Rare Sunflower & The Scientist Posted March 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2018 We will be going on our first Viking and very excited to see what it is like. The small ship with all the personal touches sounds wonderful to us. We'd love to hear any bits of information we can get from any of you experienced Viking travelers. 1) I saw on a youtube someone saying that the infinity and spa pools were kept at 70 degrees. That is cold! Anyone know about this? 2) We love lattes, is there somewhere specific that we go to get a good latte in the morning? 3) Dancing....any dancers out there who can tell us about dancing in the evenings? We aren't ones to hang around drinking in a bar, but we do love dancing after dinner. 4) We will be spending New Years Eve and New Years Day in Auckland. The Viking person said that is a really cool place to be for New Years Eve. Anyone experienced this and can tell us more? Enough questions for now....we'd love any info!!! Peregrina651 Posted March 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2018 There is no charge for your morning latte in any of the bars or restarant (tea and coffee are free 24/7, except if they contain spirits). I prefer the coffee from the Living Room Bar on Deck 1 but use self-serve machine in the World Cafe at breakfast just because it is easier. Viking has not yet visited Aukland, so there are few people to report on it from a Viking point of view but you can search the Ports of Call section of these boards. The audience is bigger so you are apt to get some answers. Also, try Trip Advisor.
SantaFe1 Posted March 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2018 The Viking World Cruise visited Auckland last month. Everyone I heard from seemed to love it. There are some pictures, I think, on the WC thread.
