We were feeling lazy this morning on our first sea day so decided to do breakfast en suite. I had the Crab Cakes Benedict while Mike just had some scrambled eggs. Both were fine.fd229252ac5a5d92b1b6d985e75ee40e.jpg

For dinner tonight we were back in Luminae. John and Cindy joined us tonight so we could celebrate their wedding day. For appetizer we tried the squab (not enough meat in the tiny portion) and the Lobster Salad. For entrees we had the Cote de Boeuf and the Halibut which were both awesome. For dessert they brought over a group of tiny treats like macarons and tarts and then we finished off the wedding cake from earlier in the day. During dinner the captain made a pass through Luminae to greet everyone and was gracious enough to take photos. After dinner John and Cindy went to see the show while Mike and I headed to the casino.8e1cb691e8363a7705f1695d0d998b72.jpgaa63bddf46c03cb3303a6d5cb2a03161.jpg5f0d2d4fefd01582da301077cc0a7f61.jpg005756dfa45299edcce18a2970debb7b.jpg

Adam— Congratulations on your sisters wedding! Looks like it was beautiful. And how did you manage to capture the pic of them with the rainbow?

Thanks so much for the frequent updates. We sail on the Silhouette in September. We have sailed Celebrity a couple of times, but this will be our first voyage on the Silhouette so I am anxious to hear all about the onboard experience. I am watching and reading with great interest.

Enjoy the cruise!

Thanks! It was pure timing. We had the ceremony in Blu. While we were there the ship had moved through some rain showers. Afterward we were walking around Deck 5 taking photos with the ship’s photographer and while in the hall near the stairs/elevators, I looked out through the port side sliding doors and saw this rainbow low over the water. The sun had come bursting out on the starboard side and was creating the rainbow against the misty rain clouds on the port side. I pointed to the photographer and we all rushed out to get some shots. This was from my IPhone but today Cindy and John and I will meet with the photographer to review their official photos. His should be even nicer since they were shot with a high grade camera.

I may the same. Caffeine in my drug of choice! You can get any coffee at Cafe Bacio, regular or speciality. We both enjoy cappuccino or lattes. The ones with liquior are $1 over the classic limit so you just pay the $1. Try the Aspen. There is also a mini Cafe Bacio as you enter the ocean view Cafe on the right side entrance. You can also get fresh OJ there as well on the classic. There is also regular coffee at the drinks dispenser in the cafe. They will probably bring you speciality coffe in the MDR at breakfast as well but we didn't go there for breakfast. The elite breakfast also has speciality coffees.

You can also, order regular coffee from room service in the morning ( no speciality ones). Enjoy!

The OJ is actually previously frozen fresh squeezed. Not quite as good.

After our massages we had to head quickly back to the cabin to shower and change so we could meet the concierge Niko for a tour of the bridge we had been invited to join. We had done one of these a couple years ago on Eclipse, but it’s always nice to see the inner workings of these ships.0e72a36106a6d2ba993c7c3a75e98226.jpg06e174491287905ce9f5eec1e35a8c87.jpgb7bcd854d0fb5f07cc8c1fc03338e54f.jpg3435af2699609241f63f31df524e80fe.jpg3e1a5bb26105a6d0cc681ae1fc3fdb49.jpg192c2c81fae35666c072ef4b7903b627.jpg

Following the bridge tour we all went to Blu where we were treated to a lovely Mediterranean-themed lunch with the Captain and some of the ship’s officers. I even got to meet two Cruise Critic members who had been following my “Live from” thread. Hello Susan Brown and Carol Szarek! It was nice meeting you and your husbands. The Captain made a special announcement during the lunch that Silhouette was just named top cruise ship for the second year in a row (He didn’t say with which publication though.) We were sitting next to a Marketing Manager who floats from ship to ship and I tried to find out from her any information about what updates would be happening with Reflection’s drydock but she said she didn’t know and when I asked her about what the Edge-related updates would be for Solstice and Millennium class ships she said those details hadn’t been released yet. I tried though!48132e5c2193cfc5a09daf789e154da0.jpgd8cffb0b53e4d8d7c1664e04b28c9746.jpg46f7fbbbf2a424d5cac127613e80f3fb.jpg86da5c739cb8a2f7ae5dd113bafeb3df.jpg4d0755ae30a95572d446d78eed8041a2.jpg

Thanks for doing this trip report, and best wishes to the Bride.

Can you share from which terminal in Port Everglades that you sailed? I think PE is still constructing/remodeling the terminal for the Edge although I have no idea of how far along it is. Also, is your Suite concierge Erik Guzman? If so, we adore him.

Excited to hear about how the party turns out.

Hi Adam, we are also on this cruise and loving your live review. We're in a sky suite and enjoying this beautiful ship. Maybe we'll cross paths on board.

After our lunch with the officers, Mike and I headed to the casino and I hit a jackpot for around $1200. I had to leave after a certain point in order to meet up with John and Cindy to help them review their photos from yesterday with the photographer to decide which ones to purchase. Came back to our suite after that to discover some treats that Dharma had left for us. We had asked him to deliver the afternoon snacks to our cabin as we rarely ever make it to Michael’s Club.a08d1b2b986fc4a10eff7eec15a3bd78.jpg40dd3358d7c786113e9ef5c2d343b6f7.jpg
