On another note, to go with the hotel points that I am being refunded, the airline is now giving us $400 back [emoji1303]

I love this! Really worth standing up for yourself, great to see it paying off!

They haven't had the chocolate glazed yet [emoji22]. Ro brought me an apple donut, but it had no taste...took a bite and tossed it...can't afford any wasted calories!

After breakfast I say by the pool and watched Grease on MUTS. Now there is Motown trivia by the pool. It is a nice sea day [emoji3]

Clampram, we are in a mini-suite on the Lido deck next week for our first Princess Cruise (been on RCI, Carnival, and Holland America). We also are supposed to get the Medallion, so I am so happy to hear you love the cabin on Lido, and that the Medallion seems to be working good for you!

Yep the Medallion is working fine. The first time that you use it, it needs to sync but after that it senses my presence and unlocks the cabin door. For now they are only using it for the cabin door function and they do give you a back up regular key card but we haven't needed that. They did explain to us at embarkation that they were very aware of the poor write ups about the Medallion on Cruise Critic and they seem to be quite intent on fixing the problems.

The internet is way better than before and 9.99/day for unlimited is a good price. My new coffee card does expire at the end of this year - not happy about that change in policy. Our Lido deck mini suite is quiet, comfortable, with very hot water in the shower which I love and a nice balcony although that could be a bit bigger. No noise from above (sanctuary) or from any direction.

Breakfast in the main dining room today was an exercise in patience and I have none! 20 minutes to get fruit and then another 20 minutes to get my order which was all screwed up then another 20 minutes to get my missing English Muffin.....don't think I will go there again. It's just not set up right. The food is excellent... much better than the Crown which we were on last week. Sabatini's on the Crown was just awful but we are trying Sabatini's on the Regal in a couple of days. The service is much better on the Regal with the exception of this mornings breakfast in the main dining room.

So far we have watched Churchill (not the Darkest Hour) and last nite we watched Dunkirk which was quite good. We knew someone that owned on the the Dutch boats that was used in the Dunkirk battle so that made it more interesting for us.

There is an awesome classical group that plays in the Piazza every day. Also we ate at Alfredo's one night and that was excellent!

Beautiful weather today for a sea day....tomorrow is Ocho Rios.

I stayed at the pool until the sun finally took over my shady spot. I then made another small donation at the casino and signed us up for an excursion tomorrow in Jamaica. I chose Dolphin Cove, Shark Show & Dunn's River Falls. All the times we have been to Jamaica, and have never done the falls...

I think I will go for a run now, before shoving more food in....maybe I shouldn't of had the iced Mocha [emoji12]

A particular thank you for posting the menus and patters as we are doing this same itinerary on Feb 25. However I see you are going to Ocho Rios but we are going to Falmouth. Wonder why the difference?

Hi, We are also on the Feb. 25 with sis and husband to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Can't wait. We have met many wonderful Canadians on previous cruises and had so much fun at happy hour. Hope to meet you too. We are Al and Cathy

(Catherine Claus).

We love the Regal having taken her across the Atlantic for our 50th anniversary trip. Can't wait to board.

Thank you for your postings and photos.

About that coffee card - I didn't realize that the coffee cards expire? I understood that the card could be used on more than one cruise - and that the only thing that you couldn't do is be able to drink the free brewed coffee on any other ship but the one where you purchased it originally? I hope that's the case because I've got a card with only one punch that I intended to use on my next cruise!!

I also did not know about the new expirations. I will be getting new cards on next weeks mini bar. That is too bad. The rule is that brewed coffee is only valid for the sailing the cards were purchased on. Punches are valid anywhere.

I did my run...only 1 mile/7 laps. The mocha cramps kicked in half way, but I pushed through 🤢. After that I went to the gym and had a real strong weight workout. Ro will need to carry me up the falls tomorrow! She is doing a 5k run now.

I am cooling off on the balcony before a shower and dinner. There is a production show in the theatre tonight and a comedian in Live.

I believe there is a princess corkscrew you can buy. We used to travel with one, but then just started buying twist caps after some broken cork incidents. On this trip we had very limited options because of our delays

What a fabulous last name!! A few years ago while on the Crown in the Med we met a gentleman who belonged to the fraternal order of Santa Claus'. Even not dressed up he looked like Santa.

Someone is on the Royal Princess right now and posted a picture of their coffee card earlier today. This one has the same terms as they have had for awhile. Punches can be used on a future (next) cruise, and free brewed coffee is only good for the current voyage. I wonder if they are really starting to put expiration dates on the latest batch of coffee cards???

Perhaps someone will post the photo of a coffee card from the current Regal cruise so we can see the expiration date language on the new cards being issued. The other question is what happens if you present a coffee card from a prior voyage ( but with punches still left on it) to a barista on the Regal now? Will they honor the punches but also insert an expiration date?

Any coffee card is good forever. The only difference is if the card wasn't issued on that voyage it's not good for unlimited brewed coffee. They'll punch it for that brewed coffee so you might as well use it for Specialty coffee.

since it already had a ship/voyage on the back there's no need to change it- it's already been verified that it's an old card.
