Don't think I didn't consider one like that! But, after all, Gary still has another procedure to go thru, so I didn't want to get his blood pressure up too high.

Today is Day 5 and we are in Jamaica.

We don't arrive until 10:00 AM and we don't have anything planned. So today Gary's gift is another Subway card and some mini M&M's.

Go to the gym and try out the standing bike. Not used to this piece of equipment and noticed right away that my butt does not like this one bit. But I stay on for 30 minutes and have been paying for it every since. I think I bruised my tailbone and it still hurts after a couple weeks. Anymore bikes I do will be the reclining type.

We go to breakfast. Also the same people waiting in line for the place to open. Do another round of mini golf. It's pretty much neck and neck on the win/lose race, but Gary is playing with one hand, so I think he could have beat me every game.

We watch us arrive in Jamaica. There is a bunch of dancers and some band playing. They are fun to watch. A few people get off the ship, but I think a lot weren't too happy with the ports of call and decide to stay on the ship.

After lunch I decide to just walk around the port to see if I can find something else for Gary. It's cloudy and starts to rain briefly. I walk around, but it's the same old stuff. Checking out the Blue Mountain coffee, but I could have bought drugs cheaper. Between $30 to $50 for a small amount. I could have gotten enough for one pot for $10. So I decided there is nothing that I really need. They did have some pretty wooden items, but didn't want to spend the money and I would just have to dust it.

Start to go thru security and I get into one line and the guy ahead of me was removing most of his clothes and still couldn't stop setting off the alarm. Before he got to his pants, I move to the next line. Guy ahead of me there, was just as bad and I spent more time in line than I did on the island. Then it's starts raining harder so I hurry to get back on board.

Get stopped by a photo guy, so got my picture taken.

Get back to the room and head to the diamond club. By now it's raining pretty hard and there is a lot of standing water. The crews keep coming out to clean it off, but then it rains again, so they finally give up.

Get our drinks and this time they are really pretty strong. As we are heading up to eat, we are in this crowded elevator and I'm feeling pretty good. I see this guy in the elevator with what I thought was a set of golf clubs. I say to him "it's not a good day for golf". The guy looks at me funny and says yes. We get off the elevator and Gary asks me why I asked the guy about golf when he was carrying a large wooden parriot. OMG...I guess I needed to be cut off the drinks at this point.

We sit by the windows and it's really raining now and foggy. There are still some people shooting baskets on the court. Don't have a clue what I had for dinner, but I do remember going to the ice cream bar. Always remember ice cream.

We had reservations for the Come Fly With Me show, but decided not to go. Found out later that the show had been cancelled, due to some production problems.

We decide to just go back to the room and relax for the night. Decide to see if the loyalty ambassador was back, since it's just down the hall from our room. He is, so we run the bottle of champagne to him. He has a couple other crew members with him (the girl he is training and the diamond concierge), so we told him he could share if he wanted. He was happy with the champagne.

Jill,

You are so funny! I can't believe Gary left you alone in Jamaica! Yes, indeed, you certainly could have bought drugs for less than that Blue Mountain Coffee and I'm surprised no one offered any to you.

You are such a lightweight when it comes to drinking, you are so entertaining. Golf clubs/parrot, yeah, similar. NOT!

...Good Evening, Summiteers...Jill, glad to hear that Gary is doing better...Loving your review and your story about you drunk in a elevator, is to much....LOL>>>When we were in Jamaica nobody tried to sell us drugs...Just, Coffee, jerk chicken and red stripe beer...Let's start again...This is the third time I have tried to write this chapter...Here's hoping...After checking out my sister's new house and moving all our bags into her guest room...She brought a new bed, just for us and we are the first to sleep on it...Next we have some drinks and sit around and talk for awhile...I'm checking out Jimmy James...He seem like a ok guy...I just wish my sister would like a man who has a job...This is the

second boy friend who only works part-time...I have already told her, to have fun...but, don't get him a credit card or let him sign on her bank accounts...After talking for awhile...we head out for Pizza. We climb into Jimmy's Ram Truck. Which is like mine, but Red....This get me to wonder...My sister loves red cars...She has two...I wonder who brought that truck...Hmmmm.....The pizza is very good...I picked up the check...and we headed home. We watched a movie in her Diva Den, which for some reason is upstairs...the stairs in her house are steep and winding...So, it is hard for me to get up

there...But I do...While we are in her Diva Den, she tells us that the realtor who found her house, gave her four tickets for a carriage ride in old downtown Savannah. We decide to do that tomorrow and eat dinner at the Old Pink House which we have heard good things about...One thing I don't understand is why, her house has two air conditioners...One for the upstairs and one for the down...further down the road you will find out why that was important ......More to Come.

Thank you , Beau for resuming your postcruise review. And you are in full Inspector Clouseau mode, I see, trying to figure out everything that's going on with your baby sister and her new man. Good for you. I wish my niece had someone to do that for her. 3 divorces and she is on boyfriend/prospective hubby #4.

The Old Pink House looks nice, but a bit pricey.

Sounds like your baby sister was happy to see you and even had some activities planned. It's so hard to meet new people, so hopefully this boyfriend will work out ok for her.

Nobody ever wants to sell us drugs. Which could you imagine what pot would do to me, when I can't have over 2 drinks and still have a functioning brain...

Today is Day 6 and we are at sea. It's cloudy but warm. Gary's little gift today was a Starbucks gift card.

My butt still hurts from the bike at the gym, so no more gym for me this cruise. We eat breakfast and go to the top deck to play mini golf. No clubs or balls again today. They remove them at night and don't put them back out until 8:00 AM. So we watch the water and watch parents chasing after their kids. Gary beats me again at golf.

We picked today for our free lunch at Giovanni's, but that's not until noon, so we get our photos. They have some stuff going on. Trivia, face painting, sushi making and guacamole demonstrations.

We walk to Central Park and while we are waiting for lunch we watch people running all over with their cameras doing a selfie scavenger hunt. So funny to watch people taking photos of plants etc when they probably haven't noticed them all cruise.

So we go into Giovanni's and last time we got to pick off from a small menu of just 3 main dishes. This time they give us a big menu, so we both got seafood pasta. They bring out this really good bread with the oil and spices to dip it in. Then the waitress brings out some meat and cheese for Gary, a salad for me and a dish full of different kinds of olives and some weird looking thing that may have been garlic, but I couldn't eat it.

Our pasta was pretty good. It had muscles in the shells and shrimp. Then they brought desert, so we were really full when we left.

They had the belly flop competition. But when you have seen one, you've seen them all. So we ended up watching it on the TV the next day.

We had gotten an invite to tour the bridge at 3:30 so we got changed and went up there. We talked to one of the security people, then she had to leave and 2 others came in and one security girl remembered me from Jamaica and called me by name. We all got wanded and the loyalty ambassador joined us.

The bridge was pretty interesting being that this ship is so huge. Tour only lasted about 30 minutes. We decided not to go to the diamond club tonight and to try out some of the other bars on the ship.

We went to the Schooner bar and watched a crew member give a line dance class. One guy (the only guy) was having too much fun and was really dancing like crazy. It was really funny.

Since it was formal night, we checked out dinner, but either one of us was hungry. They did have lobster, but it was super small and not worth the energy to eat it.

So we waited for the rising tide bar and it was fully packed. There were only 2 seats left so we grabbed them and rode that for awhile.

Get back to our room and we had some snacks from the kitchen, but we never did end up eating them. More music on the balcony and called it a night.

Gary, Wow, that was scary situation. Guess it is a good thing it happened and they are treating it.

Beau, I would be wondering myself how does someone afford a new truck with a part time job. I guess if you credit is good enough they will finance you????? If she is truly happy with him I suppose that is all that matters. Glad you are finishing your review.

Jill, sounds like you had a wonderful time. Weren't the summiteers in Roaton?? Don't remember rain, but then again the memory thingy.

Jill,

Your lunch at Giovanni's sounds great. But, I would do have had to pass on the pasta. No mussels for me, unfortunately.

Garrett would have loved the bridge tour on a ship like that. He and Neil got to go into the wheelhouse on this last river cruise because the captain was so personable. He just eats that stuff up no matter how many times he gets to do it.

Beau,

That Old Pink House looks great! I would love to go back to Savannah one day for a longer stay. We were there for one day a couple years ago. We did the Old Town trolley tour and ate at an old tavern in town.

Grace,

The Summiteers did indeed visit Roatan. We had a tour with a private driver, but it started raining to beat all, so it was a bust. During a break in the rain, he did take us out to his home and showed us around the property. It was really interesting. Cashew trees! Never saw those before. It started raining again after we left so we asked him to go back to the ship. We had him drop us at the craft market, as it had stopped raining by the time we got there.

Each time we have been there it's been a similar story; rain on and off.

Day 7...at sea.

Nothing planned for the day. Gary gets another Subway card and we wait with the other old folks for breakfast.

Last game of mini golf and I think Gary won much more than I did, but it was still fun. Today is cloudy and it's raining off and on all day.

They have a lot of stuff going on today. I ask Gary if he wants to do a walking tour of Central Park with a landscape specialist. He just laughs at me. So we go to the jazz club to talk with the stars of some of the shows. We did this last time and it was a lot of fun.

They had a high diver, ice skater and one of the stars of Cats. He showed up a little late, but the way he came in was worth it. He runs in, does a little spin, sits down and crosses his legs. He reminds me of Jack from Will and Grace. Super nice and funny guy. We all asked questions and it was an interesting hour.

We still weren't hungry for lunch, but I remembered the milkshakes at Johnny Rockets and we had a buy one get one, so we walk over there. They were having a Family Festival and Boardwalk was packed full of people. They had candy apples, cakes and all kinds of games going on. This would be a great place to brings kids.

We make our way inside Johnny Rockets and get our chocolate shakes. Afterwards we can either go to the Captain's Corner or see the Splish Splash comedy dive show. Since we were right there, we sit down to wait for the dive show. I'm watching these 3 guys standing around the water, talking and shaking their heads. Then one of the swimmers, waves goodbye, then someone else comes out, gets on their phone and they all leave. Not a good sign. Pretty soon they start playing a movie and then post an announcement that the dive show won't be done.

So we go back to the comedy club to watch the Captains Corner. So glad we did because Capt Rick is so funny. We were all waiting for him. He comes in and sits down in the front row and looks around and says "what are you all waiting for?"

He comes up front and he was telling us really interesting stories. One time he had to take is ship into dry dock. Then a hurricane was approaching, so he had to take the ship back out and ran right into the hurricane. They were tossed around and ended up with more damage than they had gone into fix.

After that we went back to the room to rest and I read some more on the balcony.

Time for the diamond club. Our bartender was pretty funny. He had been getting everyone's drinks ready before we even ordered them. Well, yesterday we weren't there and he set our drinks down at where we usually sit and surprised the people sitting there. He laughed and told the people that they weren't the ones he had been waiting on all week.

We gave him a tip and cut ourselves off at 2 drinks. Had our last dinner at Windjammer and finished packing.

They opened the Windjammer early the next morning and we were on our way back home by 7:30 AM. Really glad we made it home, because just going thru the security line was really wearing Gary out and he had to stop a few times. Finally the security girl let us skip the rest of the line.

So glad we made it home safely and will be able to sail another day.

Jill,

Great review as always! Our certainly had things to choose from on the ship. I like that on Sea days. Plus all your perks gave you some nice bonuses, like the milkshake. Garrett loves a good milkshake.

Did you get any of your photos this time? Sorry, I couldn't remember.

We are happy that you got home safely and all is now well and cruising is still in your future.

Gary took his camera, but didn't take any pictures. We were just on the ship in April and the ports had nothing new to take photos of.

When we go with the newbies in Feb, we will probably take a lot of photos. Will be fun to cruise thru the eyes of people that have no idea what's ahead of them.

Jill,

That will be fun for all of you.

Did you guys figure out what you are doing for Thanksgiving yet? Poor Stacy, this is not a fun time for her to be left alone with all her girls.

We are going to have Thanksgiving here. I am cooking. I invited our neighbors and my one girlfriend. Still agonizing over the menu. Turkey is the only thing I'm sure of. Well, that and my mother's stuffing recipe. It is so easy, but I could eat just that and be happy. My girlfriend is bringing a salad, so I think the rest of my dishes will be starches; mashed potatoes, rolls, maybe corn pudding. And then I am trying to decide what to make for dessert. Garrett likes this apple/cranberry pie I make, so that's one, but for the second, I'm not sure . I want to make something chocolate, but I'm afraid the others will be disappointed if there's no pumpkin pie. What to do, what to do?!

Becki, I have one of those stuffing recipe's as well. grandmother to my mother, to me, to my son, and finally this year my granddaughter will learn how to make it. It just continues on and on.

I think this year Thanksgiving will be at my granddaughters house as she now has 3 kids ages 7, 5 and the youngest is 3 months. Funny, she said she wants every holiday at her house because she is tired of running around every holiday. She is 25 or 26. omg.

It will work well for me and I won't be involved in the cooking this year. (I hope). Just show up at diner. woo hoo.

Grace,

Yes, your recipe sounds a lot like mine. My mother was a very good cook, but I sure didn't learn to cook from her. When I should have been learning some skills, she was out dating, having gotten divorced from my dad. My sister was a very good cook and she is the one who gave me the stuffing recipe, but, of course, it is not precise measurements.

Boy, your granddaughter must thrive on chaos, what with 3 kids and wanting to have your family over for Thanksgiving. Good for her, and great for you! Do you have to provide anything?
