Diamond perks questions? Will be new to Diamond on a Vision of the seas TA

We will be new to Diamond on the Vision of the Seas. I have a few questions about the perks.

Reduced prices on laundry?

Can the drink vouchers be used in other lounges? What are the times they can be used?

If you are a non drinker, what other beverages do you have a choice of?

Can the drink vouchers be used in the dining room?

other perks for Diamond? reserved seating? express tender departure etc?

Drink vouchers can be used in any lounge. TIme period will be detailed on a letter in your stateroom, but typicaly 3.5 hours starting 1 hour before early traditional dining. Soda is also available.

Yes. No. No.

NO reserved seating. No express tender departure.

Free photo is a great perk and some free internet access are 2 perks I really enjoy.

Diamond lounge has a really good coffee machine so you can get a decent coffee without paying. Snacks and drinks during happy hour is a good perk. You can get up to 3 drinks at other bars during happy hour.

Priority check-in is also a great perk.

I have highlighted the perks that I find really useful.

No express tender departure.

On Jewel this past summer yes... DL escorted down on tender #2 after the CL escorted D+ and above to tender #1.

Maybe it's a ship by ship basis? (Like most everything else re RCL, inconsistent)

Milestone recognition - does not apply to me (I only have 14 points! lol)

Chef's Choice Gift/Amenity - what the heck is this?

Priority wait list for Shore Excursions/VitalitySM Day Spa services - not a perk!

Diamond Lounge (on select ships) - The best perk!

Priority departure - if you want to get off quicker I guess (I want to stay!)

Exclusive Nightly Diamond Event - We don't attend (should we?)

Daily breakfast with specialty coffee - Is this in the diamond lounge? If so, not a full breakfast

Entertainment Tour - was not offered this

For D, BOGO in specialty restaurant on day of departure.

Generally speaking, you get to meet a lot of very nice people in the DL.

Gift/Amenity. Not a big deal. Not sure how this works for Celebrity Ds.

Exclusive Nightly Event---Apperizers/drink in DL usually starting 1 hr prior to first seating in MDR and lasting 3-1/2 hours. For those few ships w/o a D lounge, the event is usually held in a public space, length may vary.

Daily breakfast w/specialty coffee. In MDR. Continental breakfast in DL where you have the specialty coffee maker.

Entertainment tour: If you're interested, you should be able to get. Other tours ( especially bridge), at times (number of D, D+ P on board has an impact), may not be as available,

I got 3 waters instead of drinks from any bar from 5-8pm every day.

FWIW, I've read in many threads here that on TAs, many passengers are Diamond and above, so the lounge is jammed, and most of the priority or exclusive perks are less "perks" due to sheer numbers who qualify.

BOGO first night is for D+, not D.

There are usually to go cups with covers.

Both. The concierges would prefer that you use the cardboard cups if you are leaving with the coffee, ceramic if you are staying. :)
