Luggage storage??

Going on a Southern Caribbean cruise, starting from Puerto Rico. Also staying a day and a half in Puerto Rico. Where is the best place to store our luggage? Is there a place close to the cruise port to do that? If so, what is the price? Our hotel is 10-20 minutes away from the port and also NOT towards Old San Juan. Do the hotels/hostels generally let you leave the luggage there or charge a fee for that? Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Contact a hotel close to the port and see if they will hold your luggage. They may charge a fee but it would be worth it.
