Norwegian SPIRIT Balcony Cabin 10686

Recommended Posts

We are traveling with friends who booked balcony 10686 and the most recent photos or videos I can find are at least five years old. Does anyone have any newer ones that I can show them? It seems like such a bargain size-wise, but the five year old youtube video looks so stark.

Thanks for your efforts.

It is, in my opinion, the best non suite room on the Ship. We always stay there if we can get it, and just this week booked it again for next Summer.

I will look to see if I have any pictures to share later.

Hopefully this works.

These pictures are from 3 years ago, but I don't believe that the room has changed much. I've not been in there since the short dry dock last year but they didn't do much then. It won't be much different.

I'm staying in this room in August!! We booked it too because of it's size. Looks like your pics and the pics and videos found online are pretty much the same Keith. Was it CLEAN? In particular the bathroom? I've been seeing a lot of photos of the bathrooms on this particular ship and they are gross with mildew in the tiles and such.

CDP says room and balcony twice as large as other rooms in same cat. Also should be a door to outside right there and out to tiered seating area.

We were on 9 aft and had quite a bit of shaking (glasses rattling) when doing over 20/21 knots which wasn't too often.

Yes, that is about right. The room

Is about twice as wide as a normal balcony room, so the balcony is about twice as long. It is the same depth though, so it’s not all that easy to use the full length of it.

Whilst the cabin is twice the width of standard rooms, it isn’t quite as deep so not quite double the size. However as the bathroom is about the same size and there is just one bed, it means that there is much more. Space to move. It seems much bigger.

You walk out of the room, turn right, and almost immediately are out at the bottom of the terrace right next to the hot tub. We find that particularly handy for access to the bar, buffet and that hot tub.

I don’t recall any vibration, but maybe just didn’t notice it.

We were in 9703 aft on the Spirit, the vibration was horrendous some nights, so much so, we spent two nights sleeping in other cabins.

You could feel vibration when walking down the corridor from the rear stairs and heading aft certainly on deck 9.

Do you recall roughly how fast you were going when it was bad?
