Krystal resort puerto vallarta

Has anyone been to Krystal Resort in Puerto Vallarta recently? I have read reviews but they are more than a year ago.

Just wondered if they still let cruise passengers in to use their facilities free or a day pass...how much in US dollars is it?

How far is it to walk from the cruise port. How much would a taxi cost is to far to walk?

Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Things are always changing in Mexico so perhaps you should directly contact Krystal. As to the walk, the actual time will really depend on which of the 3 docking positions your ship berths. If at the South of Southern piers (Pier #1 or Pier #2) it would be about a 15 min stroll. But if you are docked at the Northern pier (Pier #3) then you are talking about 20-30 min walk. The good news is that its a flat walk:).

As to a taxi, if you take one of the taxis located at the port (they charge per person) they will likely want $5 (a rip off). It is a very short taxi ride and the drivers would prefer not to take a fare that distance. If you were to walk outside the port and manage to hail a regular (yellow) taxi they might just laugh and drive off...or perhaps they would be nice and offer to take you for about $5 (for the entire taxi). Everything in Mexico (especially with taxis) is negotiable...but cruise passengers are seen as "easy marks" and usually lose on the bargaining. Even those of us who live in PV...sometimes lose when it comes to the taxis :(. And then the drivers wonder why many of us now prefer to use Uber.

Be aware a large part of Krystal;s garden and pool has been changed into the allin Hilton Hotel. I hear different stories because of that whether they still accept cruise passengers.
