River ships are treated to a nice 'spa' visit every winter – not like ocean ships that sail every week except for dry-docks.

Ahhhh....does the ‘spa’ visit include upgrades, like replacing carpets? Just wondering about the condition of the AmaDante. Thank You [emoji4]

Not every year. But the reduced annual schedule means much less wear and tear than an ocean ship. We have never noticed any obvious wear on our cruises on the older AMA ships.
