Torn Between Two...

Unfortunately, since we are booking the Prague portion through Avalon, we don't have a choice as to what hotel they put us in. That said, it sounds like the ones they choose are fairly nice.

The IC is in a great location, quick walk to either side of the river, the Jewish quarter, the old town square, etc. The restaurant on the top floor has a great view and wonderful service. Not the prettiest hotel on the outside but it's a great place to base from.

The Autobahn....wow!!! That sounds scary to me. I am looking forward to the ride to see some of the landscape. Wish it was 4 hours by train versus motor coach though!

The bus is pretty comfy. I was actually more comfortable on the bus than the train they crammed us in from Trier to Paris. We were crammed face to face in a small compartment with three other couples. Not much leg room on the train. The bus we had comfy seats, two by two and enough buses that we weren't crammed in on top of one another.

This is a great movie to watch before you go. You an go to the church at the end of the movie and see where some of this happened. You will also recognize a lot of places where they filmed:

I agree. We were very surprised by the various bus' used. Much better than the ones we had here to get to the airport, and lots of legroom.
