Help - what to do in San Juan?!

hi

We are stopping st SJ on our cruise in November. Never been thr before (we are from uk) cruise excursions are limited and to be honest don't look great. It's the last stop on our cruise so would be happy with a nice beach to go to or a boat trip? Is Puerto Rico fairly safe place to get a taxi somewhere from the port?

We will be their in December and plan to a tour with Ellis that will take us to the rain forest
