OP: have your hotel concierge arrange a private transfer (not as expensive as you may think).

Anyone have suggestions for transport to the ship from the Vatican area on departure day?My brother and I are attempting to share transportation costs.

 

 

Talk it up on your roll call — we’ve sailed from Rome several times after a week or so stay- and connected with others on our sailing who were staying nearby. A shared van (Rome in Limo suggested) for six or eight is an inexpensive and comfortable way to get directly from your hotel to the ship.
