One version of "Tequila" is by Brooks and Dunn.

I heard "Turn it Off," by Eric Durrance for the first time this week, and thought it's a great one for getting in the vacation mode (especially after reading the posts by people fed up by cell phones on vacation.

Elvis did a song called "Mexico."

Several artists have recorded "South of the Border."

You might include anything by Santana, as Carlos Santana was born in Jalisco (the state that PV is in).

Jalisco is the home of mariachi music, so you might want to include some of the more popular ones:

  1. <LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; tab-stops: list .5in; mso-list: l25 level1 lfo16">Cielito lindo <LI class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; tab-stops: list .5in; mso-list: l25 level1 lfo16">Allá en el rancho grande
  2. Una paloma blanca
  3. not traditional, but now popular is Macarena

And my personal favorite is "Good to Go to Mexico," by Toby Keith. I was used to going to Mexico 1-2 times a year, but couldn't go for 2 years because of cancer treatments. This song came out that first year of treatment, and it was my "fantasy" song that kept me going.

Check out Mexicoma by Bucky Covington.

It's my theme song since I live in Cabo part time.

I'm living in a Mexicoma

Smelling that Tequila 'roma

I don't think I'm ever gonna, make it back home:D

Hypnotized by the salt in the air

Senoritas with long dark hair

Reality's calling but I don't care:D:D

Living in a Mexicoma:D:D

Love those lyrics.
