It is awesome as long as the weather is good and you are not claustrophobic.

We want to add to the above that we have known several people who did like it, but they were younger than us, without any knee, back or hip problems (read: in decent shape and flexible) and able to tolerate water colder than the ocean. Those points sort of stopped us right there.

We did this..... through NCL ShoreX. SO glad we did it through NCL. And would recommend you do too. It's about 2 1/2 miles of easy floating, on a tube. 5 tunnels. It's fun. Wear water shoes.

Why would you recommend using the cruise line excursion so much? Just curious.

My daughter and I did it two years ago. Had a great time, but the water is cold so it depends what time of year you go, we did it in October. The only downside is that they gave us trail mix as a snack at the end and I wished I would of had a sandwich :) There is a 7-11 across the street from the building where you start and finish the excursion. We went there and got some snacks before getting in the van to go back to the ship. I would certainly do it again.

We did it in 2013 and it was so fun! Relaxing and thrilling, at times. The guides were all hilarious!
