From LAX to San Pedro port: Where to buy beer & sodas for ship?

Next week we'll take Uber from the airport to the pier. Is there a place at/near the terminal where we can buy a couple 6 packs of beer & some sodas to bring onboard? Or what has your experience been asking a driver to stop somewhere along the drive?

Which cruiseline? Don’t know of any that allows beer to be carried on.

This is odd: Last week I called Princess & the agent told me we could bring on 2 6-pks of beer per person plus 2 6-pks of soda. I told her I had never heard about bringing on beer & she said yes, we could. Well today after starting this thread I called & asked again, & as you can imagine the answer is, of course, no beer. Should've gotten her name last week but what difference would it have made?

So my updated question is: where can I buy a couple 6-packs of soda?

I always stop at Vons at 1221 S Gaffey St on the way to our hotel.

Uber will make stops enroute. They add the wait time to your fare.

That's good to know. We'll be staying at the Doubletree in San Pedro, and I'm wondering if anyone here has used the Air Force Shoppette on Fort MacArthur in between Pacific Ave. and the Hotel?

I’m doing just that in October, but why aren’t you staying there? Ft. MacArthur certainly has better rates!

For two six packs of soda stop at any gas stations or 7-11.

I agree with jamesr3939.

Keep it simple.

Based on what you want just stop at a 7/11 or a gas station.
