NCL - CAsino at Seas -?offers

Have you heard this before ? Phoned CAS to inquire about any comp cabin. Last trip wife got sick. Played 20 hours in casino. Did not get eaten alive by the gaming. 3 sea days and 4 ports days. Played 3200 tier, and onboard host said theo was over 2,000. The guy in Miami said needed to lose more money to get anything.

I think I hear RCL calling ?

I've been told you need to have 2500 Actual or Theo for an Inside. They don't seem to care how many points you make. Having said that, I wonder if you could call back and ask to talk to a supervisor. Then ask him/her if they can look at your last couple of cruises for an indication of future play.

He confirmed the 2500 actual for the cabin. Did not confirm the theo, him-hawed around. Maybe another recent change ?

On another NCL next week. Then RCL in January, comped balcony. This could get interesting ?

That sounds possible. I didn't ask my actual theo number last time I booked and I was told that 'actual or theo' a couple of years ago.

I do think they can go to their supervisor and get permission for higher category comps as they put me on hold last time and then came back with a 'yes'. I have to think they are looking at what I played over my last couple of cruises not just the last one.

Will be interested to hear about your next NCL cruise, then let us know about that RCL casino. We haven't been on RCL in years. Hope you have great cruises!

I will keep this updated. I also have friends sailing RCL during Christmas. They usually go NCL. They used to do a lot of RCL. They should have an interesting report too.

A short reply. Just finished 9 days on Pearl. Wife moved up a CAS category after a few days of play. No host brought her a new card, notified her in anyway. Nothing sent to cabin. Of course the regular real host is on leave. But still we feel like some recognition should have been offered with 5-6 days left on the cruise. Gave them a few days to do something. Then went "cold turkey" in their casino.

The next week or two I will contact Miami about it. With cutbacks in Latitudes, etc. Not sure we want back on NCL. Will know more after our friends complete the XMAS cruise and we complete the January 21 RCL cruise.

On our Pearl Thanksgiving cruise I was Sapphire (and will be Ruby soon.) Not one host sought me out to say 'hi' or ask if I needed anything. I'm kind of OK with that, but it was a surprise. On the Escape a few months ago someone chatted with me everyday, usually the Exec Host, and they went out of their way to find me on the last day to let me know what they were comping off my bill.

On the last day of our Pearl cruise I went to the desk to ask what they would be able to comp off my on-board bill. At that time I talked with a really sweet young lady. After seeing I had played about 10,000 points she shyly suggested I contact CAS when I got home about booking another cruise. I never spoke with the Exec Host on board.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Lets plan that next cruise now!

Rex is the Exec host on the Pearl. I know him from other ships. He was going to be on leave back to Philippines during our Dec cruise. I don't recall if it started at Thanksgiving. I do think he said it was 6 weeks leave.

On last day of our cruise I saw one woman with over 13,000 points on her card. Seems like a lot of time in the casino.

Just an update. The Royale casino had no high limit slots. Lots of those penny rascals. Quite a few video poker, but they seemed tight. I did not see a jackpot over 3200. The bar there lets you have any drink you want. We had the VIP drink sticker added to card. Not tight about booze as NCL casino bar.

I have booked comp 2 upcoming cruises with RCL, balcony cabins. 7 day in Sept from Galveston. 10 day in Nov from Miami to South Caribe. Roughly $200 port/taxes for each trip. That seems much better than NCL.

Those CAS dummies back November said account was red flagged for too many bookings. Acct is still red flagged. Let a Caesars cert expire in Nov. Have one expiring now. It covered NOLA through March. I want to go April 1. So far they have said no.

Now to booking by casino play. Still talking with CAS Miami about that for next season out of NOLA. Of course their FEES will be higher than what I just paid RCL. My first inquiry was for 10 day in Dec. Said OK, but fees were going to be $800.

Might be an RCL fan real soon ?

Are you asking play from one cruise (ship) to the you are on ?

You can do that to maybe get the hosts attention. Or if you have not cashed in the play from the previous sailing.

Card level adds up in CAS Miami.

They like to look at only the last cruise for any sailing comps. As far as I know.

Called CAS too for a cruise in the fall but as we are already booked on the Epic 15 days TA in April, they would not let me have another sailing comp right now, need to wait when I return from the Epic one. Also, since it is a 15 days, they said that each week will be considered as two different cruise and the average will count towards my play/level. We are booked on RCL in September, decided to use the 1K discount towards the cruise of our choice instead of their free balcony. I requested my win/loss statement (for 2017) from both CAS and Casino Royale but did not heard back yet.

seems like I have seen cruisediva before on a roll call.

The Sep RCL cruise was one we wanted anyway. Also the one in Nov to south Caribe we asked for. No complaints, except last cruise the casino was packed. A charter group from Colorado 168 strong !

Well here is another ah crap from NCL.

I have a free cruise cert from a Horseshoe property.

My wife has one from a Harrahs property. Both are Total Rewards. Both are owned by Caesars Entertainment.

NCL would not let us combine the certs for an upgrade as advertised.

Might be done with NCL period.

Update the NO combining of Harrah's offers.

I sent email to Caesar's Vegas VP. Explained the situation. The certs were dated 6 days apart. NCL in past had always did a cabin upgrade.

The next morning I get a call from NCL stating we can combine the certs and get an upgrade. Well as luck would have it. Now have one Caesar's cert for NCL. Wife has one CAS offer from NCL. Pretty sure we will not use them.

We sailed in November (Epic) using a comp from a land-based casino.  For the entire trip, I bought in for both me any husband, specifically to boost my points and tier.  He gets more home-casino offers than we can use, so we tried to earn a second cabin under my name so that we can take friends.

It apparently worked.  I just called yesterday for a March '19th booking.  Got a balcony with 3 of the add-ons (took dining, internet and airfare).  I was on hold for 30 minutes two different times, but the service I got once they answered was worth the wait.  Agent went out of his way to check husband's booking, and assign us to the adjoining cabin, looked at airfare, and applied our Cruise Next* credits.

That was only my second cruise on NCL, both in 2018.  We had taken three Princess cruises using casino offers, including a Med cruise, bringing us to 35+ between Princess and Carnival... and they offered me $500 in Fun Chips.   Oh, and the drink package is only available on Casino VIP cruises.  They just lost my business forever.

*Cruise Next credits (spent $1000 to get $2000 in OBC to use over the next 4 years.)  Comes in $250 increments, and I could apply 2 to the new booking on the balcony, but it's limited to one per interior cabin or studio.
