Outgoing Flight Times - SEA

11:00 AM is the earliest recommended time. That time and your time requires being in the first group off the ship. Yes you can make it but if you are like me and get worried and stressed about making an early flight you could consider taking a later flight and not rushing off the ship. However if the rest of your party wants the early flight then the key is be in the first group off the ship and head over to the airport.

Just to clarify then, they would need to carry their own bags off the ship, not collect them in the warehouse, right? Also, what is the normal wait time through SEA security if you do not have pre-check? The Ruby will be debarking passengers too so we are looking at 7000 passengers getting off between the 2 ships that morning. I am seeing old posts saying anywhere from 1/2 an hour to 1 hour in TSA lines.

It varies, of course, but SEA-TAC is one of the busiest security areas we have ever experienced (plus we had a long line to wait in for a cab at the pier). You can use any checkpoint to get to your gate. Are you arriving on a weekend? There is a separate security checkpoint for cruise passengers, see link.

We had an 11:35 am flight & made it with time to spare BUTTTTTT we were off the ship early, had scheduled transportation that was on time, & although there were LONG lines at Seatac, we had no big issues delay us.

Good luck.

How big is the group you're traveling with, and are they self-directed or do they need to be herded? That can make a huge difference. Is there anyone with mobility issues?

There is no one with mobility issues and they are pretty good at directions. In total, there are 21 of us but not all will be on the same flight. The ones wanting the early flight will not be able to carry off their luggage though. They will have too much of it, I have no doubt on that one.

Thank you for this. Our flight is at 11:11. American has changed out flights 3 times already! But hopefully with Port Valet it should be just a bit easier.
