Differences between Pursuit and Journey/Quest

So far I understand that...

- the CW/CO suites on Pursuit won’t have bathtubs, only large rain showers

- Pursuit won’t have a casino... which triggers the question what else will be in that space?

Did anyone pick up any other pieces of information?

Cheers,

Floris

Both would be good news [sorry, Elbon] -- but the Pursuit deck plans on the Azamara website still have the odd/even codes for bathtubs on deck 8.

I’m talking about the top 10 suites only, the CW/CO categories, not about the Club Continent Suites.

Don't know any info about the top suites Floris but there will be some slot machines in The Casino. Just no tables apparently.

At present the Casino Space and Spirits Bar on Adonia is the rather civilised Anderson's Bar. I wish they would leave it as is, with no huge TV playing incessant American sports. It could be a place for quiet relaxing drinks and chatting and listening to a piano player. My humble opinion only.

Just as long as they don't put in the horribly uncomfortable sofa's and chairs that they have on Quest and Journey.

As I understand it the CWs and COs will have a larger vanity unit in the bathroom and a powder room. The last I heard, there are no plans to knock down the walls of the extended shops that are part of Adonia so Mosaic Cafe serving area will be on the opposite side of deck 5. Aqualina will be slightly different too because of structural differences that won’t be changed. There is no equivalent of the Sunset Bar on Adonia. It’s all seating. There are no plans to build one in and drinks will come from inside what will be Windows where the smoothie bar currently is with more seats outside as a result.

Lottie- If we could only stop them from ruining that space. between the TV's and furniture. It was the one thing i really liked about that area on Oceania. Max , as far as I know turns the TV off. H use to. Ed, does not. i am not in a sports bar but a piano bar.

Oceania has no bar either. more seating. That is fine with me. Love they are doing a half bath again. Question them taking them out. my big question is why not make more CC cabins on deck 8 vs CC and balcony. i see they are adding spa suites. if they spend the money for them why not CC's.. i am glad they are keeping some bathtubs. many ships are taking them out. i use both all the time.

I would definitely second that motion.

To be mostly if not all American sport is a little one sided. Unless your talking about a World Series that comprises of teams from ......... America:evilsmile:;)

Never quite got my head around that one.

Now ducks behind well prepared parapet

SO has anyone heard what they will actually be doing in the Spirits Bar given that there will not be any gaming tables in there. I see that the deck plan makes no reference to Casino. Also given that it would appear that Mosaic may be a little smaller would be good to have some more seating in Sprirts as has already been suggested. I do hope that they make Pursuit look a bit different to Journey and Quest - whilst they look fabulous after their refit I think its a mistake to have all the ships being a mirror image of each other.

From what I've culled from an earlier memo re the Azamara Pursuit not having a casino..."That area is going to be reimagined as a lounge with space for live music entertainment."

Hmm. The only sports I've seen on those TVs are tennis, which has an international flair, and soccer (er, football), which is definitely NOT an American sport. ;)

Have to agree in our opinion the Andersons bar area on Adonia is far superior to Spirits/Casino area on Journey and Quest. Also dislike the large tv’s showing sports of any type, so our vote would be for no change keeping it as an attractive lounge with the option of live music as long as it’s not too loud.

Also noticed on the deck plan for Pursuit the area behind Windows is marked as the Sunset Bar so hopefully there will be a bar added to that area.

Upside of Mosaics moving to the opposite side is hopefully there’s going to be no room for art of any kind [emoji16]

The last I heard was a bar wouldn’t be added so as to give more seating space outside. Service for drinks would rely on the Windows inside bar.

I remember you saying that Phil, but we can always hope there’s a rethink.

Ya never know! When I spoke to someone from Miami on the ship they felt it would be too much work to do and use up space that works well on Adonia. Personally I think it will be better. That bar takes up a huge space and a lot of the time the waiters seem to be waiting there for guest ordered drinks to be taken inside.

Agree the bar is far too big but worry the bar service in that area will suffer, don’t think there will be a problem with the included wines as they will probably keep supplies out there. But it might be a bit like deck 11 where there’s a reluctance to go out there when it’s too hot or cold, still it’s a minor thing to worry about.

Hi Floris,

For certain we will not have the casino on the Azamara Pursuit. The casino area is under a great deal of discussion. A number of good ideas are in play. Fortunately, we have a great deal of time before we remodel the ship. So we have ample time to make a final decision.

We look forward to having you back onboard. Happy Thanksgiving!

Regards - Larry

Thank you Larry. We are very excited about the Pursuit itineraries we have booked. Good luck to you and your team with the design planning!

Happy Thanksgiving from San Francisco.

Rain showers that I have tried made me feel like I was drowning; I loved the bathtub in my big suite on Quest, and also the casino in the evenings when it was open. So, I guess it would be Journey or Quest for me, which is perfectly okay; there are two to choose between.

Choice is good. I was trapped in a bathtub onboard a ship until DW could help me get out. And the only use we have for casinos is as pathways through badly laid-out ships. Pursuit for us!

It will probably be Journey or Quest for us as well, unless Pursuit has an itinerary we just can't pass up.

My wife & I enjoy spending time in the casino after the show.
