Windstar Sale - Tahiti?

Tahiti is on my bucket list but the price has held me back. Now I see that with the '12 Ways of Windstar" sale the price for the 11 day Society Islands/Tuamotus on 4/1/18 is $3,300 + tax. This price looks very good to me but I haven't been researching lately. Thoughts? Any concerns with going at this time of year? I think this is valid with the air from LAX package but haven't called to confirm, Also, has anyone gotten the AARP discount (listed on the AARP website as 5%) with a sale?

RT air from LAX will add another $1500 per person to that.. I'd contact Windstar and ask what the cruise + air package price is for that sailing. The transfers and hotel are handled for you, and even after checking prices for a year, we never saw cruise prices or airfares that would have made it cheaper to book them separately.

Do you mean April 1st or Jan 4th ?

Jan and Feb can be rainy. Last January and February, the Society Island received above than average rainfall.

I'm looking at this same Windstar sail and trying to decide between a 7 day Tahiti cruise or a 10 day (with 2 days at sea). Would the two days at sea involve any swimming? My concern is those would feel like boring days.

I guess the destination is worth the two sea days. No swimming except the small pool and the hottub. Spend some of the time on the bridge, go visit the gallley, etc.
