Enjoying your reports.

Have you been to the BB King shows? Another thread mentioned that they have added subwoofers which makes the music really Loud!! Their review also mentioned that subwoofers have been added to the Crow's Nest making the music there even louder.

We were just on the Oosterdam before this cruise, and while loud, BB KING is not nearly as loud as we experienced on the NA or Eurodam. We actually enjoyed it.

Thank you for this current update of the "Big O"!....when it was "home ported" in SD we cruised on her many, many times to Mexico!!

We are on board for the Xmas cruise and are looking forward to "coming home". We were last on HAL about 5 years ago so it will be interesting to see the changes. We are hoping the very special service and staff remain...and it sounds like it just might still be there!! LuAnn

Second dinner in Sel de Mer last night. Catch of the day was Dorado (Mahi Mahi) and was wonderful. As last week the dinner was great and would do it again without hesitation.

Just re-boarded in Puerto Vallarta (very hot today) and decided to write about some of Oosterdam's venues while I cool down in our stateroom.

Lincoln Center Stage: Get there early- is packed every performance. Great venue!

Crows Nest: Still the same except DJ booth and dance floor gone- all carpet now. Have been up there several times and always quite a few people in chairs reading or looking out of windows. One afternoon counted 45 people and only 3 had any kind of beverage. Pretty much the same story each time we have been up there. Can see why HAL is looking for more revenue from the space. Pretty much the most valuable real estate onboard IMO

Gallery Bar: Usually busy and a really nice area. Love the look and vibe of the room.

Billboard Online: Have only walked thru but busy and music sounded good.

Pinnacle Bar: Our favorite bar on Vista and Signature. I really wish that when they did the Pinnacle remodel they had done something with the bar. Chairs are in terrible shape and almost impossible to move for larger groups.

MDR: Haven't been in there yet as have eaten in PG every night. Will have Mariner lunch there Friday.

Americas Test Kitchen: Went in for a talk on Chili Peppers. Much better organization and presentation from Westerdam last year. In their defense we were on their first cruise on Westerdam.

BB King: Doesn't seem louder than before.

PG- Have reported previously. One word- perfect.

Lido Market: Huge improvement and like the mostly crew s.service and lack of self service. Both pre-made and made to order sandwiches. Lines have been very small and food very fresh and good.

Two days at sea and we will be back in San Diego. So far very calm seas all the way from Vancouver.
