Hey all, (I bet this questions has been answered, I just can't find it:()

My DH just became a Platinum member :D and I am still Gold:rolleyes:. How does this affect the perks? We are going in 7 days (NOV 25th) on NCL Epic

I am well aware that the behind the scenes tour is out (next trip I will be Platinum:hearteyes:), because it is Platinum members only and I am also aware of the free specialty restaurant vouchers can be used for Moderno or Cagney's the same as Le Bistro or La Cucina.

1. Am I able to board with him ( Platinum/+ and above member line/area ) on the first day or do I have to wait elsewhere? Same when disembarking?

2. Priority tender tickets, how to get it? does he have to request it?

3. For the specialty restaurant voucher (one free bottle), can I pick the free wine, or are they limited to red or white of their choosing?

I just wanted to know what to expect before going, because DH has no clue.

Thanks in advance for the replies,

Hi!

You should get all the perks of platinum for you and tour guest.

By default your DH will get the benefits of your tier. That’s how it has worked for us and that’s how it should work for you. Even the tour.

If for whatever reason they don’t accommodate, contact the Latitude Rewards desk. I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t know. We’ve never had an issue.

1. Yes. And yes.

2. Contact latitudes rewards or guest services.

3. I think there’s a $$ limit on the wine. So you’d have to pick a wine within their $$ limit.

Procedures for different mega ships in the NCL fleet might vary and not the same - as it had changed on the BA on the 3rd. time we sailed her ... earlier this month.

Platinum member checked in, the Platinum line should be quicker (you as Gold & others in the same cabin just come along, no if's or but's about it, usually) Check with those on the Roll Call ahead of your sailing or just returning. Nowaday, it seemed CAS guests (Casino At Seas) are boarded after Platinum/+ & Ambassadors, Special Nees, etc. as it should - I.M.O.

Priority Tender - GSC ?? On the Gem and previously on the BA, we get a personalized form letter, explaining ... i.e. go to the Stardust/BA Main Theater at XX:YY AM ready to go, escorted down to gangway & on first tender. This month, no "welcome" letter - when asked (thus, had to walk to Guest Services/CruiseNext Desk) - "oh" "just come down to the gangway, show your Guest Keycards & join the herd" for the next available tender (and, get dirty looks, stares & what not from dozens & dozens lined up on the stairs, etc. ... whatever)

Specialty Dining - comp'd dinner for 2 with choice of bottle of wine at LeBistro or Cagney (being a la carte dining format, you can book ahead free, up to 90 days out) and 2nd. comp'd dinner for 2 for La Cucina or Moderno (no sur/upcharge) ... you can book La C. ahead but not Moderno since it's a flat cover charge ... plenty of availability on embarkation day for us to choose, easy.

There is a special wine list for your selection - 10 plus bottlles of white wine, 10 plus of red wines and others ... pick one, and, you can ask for it unopened. We took ours the next day to open in Moderno since there're 5 of us to finish off the bottle easily (but, they can store & keep it chill for you, if opened) These wines are list priced on the ship for $35 to $40+ on average (+ 18%, which you aren't charged for) ... locally, these wines at discount local stores, $15 or less, even w. taxes.

You also get 2 comp'd small bottles of water & a sparkling bubbled wine as welcome abroad, should be in the stateroom on embarkation day plus the chocolate-covered strawberries (4 pc.)
